Alanya Castle Antalya
Because of the archeological and natural riches of the area, Antalya is known as the Turkish Riviera. The 630 km shoreline of the province is literally strewn with ancient cities and harbors, memorial tombs and sandy beaches and is laced with charming little coves, lush forests and streams. In the centre of Antalya overlooking the harbour is a charming castle with its traditional architecture.

The ancient sights of Perge and Aspendous are both only a short drive from Antalya. Aspendous rewards you with Turkey’s best preserved Roman Ampitheatre, where 20,000 spectators could watch the gladiators battle. Perge was the capitol of Asia Minor, served by the port of Antalya on the Mediterranean Sea. Perge enjoyed the constant availability of products from both east and west and rivalled Ephesus in its beauty, and power.

Antalya is the perfect location to spend a couple of days, offering a variety of activities both with the city and the surrounding area. You can relax on the sandy beaches, enjoy walks through Koprulu Canyon, see the Greco Roman sights of Ancient Termessos or further along the coast the Archeological ruins of Olympia.
