Ba Be National Park

Ba Be Lake
Ba Be Lake
This tropical rainforest National Park was established in 1992 and has over 550 named plant species and more than 300 wildlife species. Ba Be means three bays but these are in fact three linked lakes which have a total length of about 8km and are around 400m wide. It’s a very beautiful area surrounded by steep mountains through which many streams run.

In the park at Thac Dau Dang there is a series of water cascades that emerge from sheer walls of rock and just below these rapids is a small Tay village called Hua Tang. Boats can be rented to explore the lake and these usually go to Hang Puong, a 300m long cave that passes through a mountain.
