Sabratha

Sabratha was a Phoenician port city, trading with the neighbouring Carthage when it eventually came under Roman control and grew to rival its famed trading partner.

The port with its sheltered bay prospered in the 3rd century AD and became famous for its trade in gold, spices, animals and slaves.

The guided tour of Sabratha’s many ancient streets will enable you to view public baths, temples, wonderful mosaics and the spectacular amphitheatre.
