Seoraksan Mountains

Seoraksan National Park
The Seoraksan National Park in the northeast of the country is considered to be one of Korea’s most beautiful mountain areas and in spring the slopes are covered in blossom and azaleas while the cooler temperature of the autumn bring with them bright yellow and crimson red foliage.
Dense forests border crystal clear streams and awesome saw tooth cliffs spiral into the blue sky. Many scenic trails lead to lonely hermitages and temples, such as the seventh century Singheungsa Temple, the oldest continually used Zen meditation temple.
There is a cable car which rises 1100m to Gweongeumseong Fortress from where you can enjoy pleasant walks with magnificent views.
